The Club maintains a well-equipped Studio in Lakes B-312. It’s open to members any day by request and is open to all Residents the first Wednesday of the month.
The Studio may be used to:
• print images up to 13″ x 19″ on a high-end photo printer
• print images up to 8½” x 11″ on the photo printer
• try out or use any of the programs installed on the PC or iMac
…Photoshop Elements, Photoshop, Bridge, Lightroom, Premiere Elements, Picasa,
…Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Vuescan, Aperture, iPhoto, iMovie, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote
• view or edit your image on a 27″ high resolution (2560×1440), color-calibrated monitor
• work on projects that take more space than you have
• obtain individual instruction or help
• attend a class or a SIG session
• create a slideshow and burn a DVD
• scan documents or photos
• scan slides
• print images on CDs and DVDs
• calibrate your monitor with the Color Munki calibrator
• trim photos using the 20″ rotary paper trimmer
• cut foam board using the 32″ x 40″ T-Square cutter
• cut mats
• cut wooden frames with the heavy duty frame cutter
• frame pictures using the Club’s metal frames in various colors and sizes
• test a presentation using the LCD projector and screen
• setup a tabletop photo shoot for a day or two using the Club’s light tent
The Club also has professional lighting equipment and backgrounds available for use.
There’s no charge to use the equipment. There is a modest charge for materials.
